Congratulations on your baptism.
This is one of the most important and meaningful steps in your walk with Christ. Baptism is not the end of your journey — it’s the beginning of a new life in Him.

The Bible teaches us:

“We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.” (Romans 6:4)

What Baptism Means

  1. An Outward Expression of an Inward Change
Baptism is a public declaration that Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior. It shows others that you have died to sin and are raised into new life. (Romans 6:3–5)

  2. Obedience to Christ’s Command
Jesus told His disciples, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” (Matthew 28:19). By being baptized, you are walking in obedience to His Word.

  3. Identification with Christ
Through baptism, you identify with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. Your old life has been left behind, and you are raised to live as a new creation. (2 Corinthians 5:17)

What Comes Next?

Now that you have been baptized, your walk with Christ continues and deepens. Here are practical next steps:

1. Develop a Life of Prayer

Prayer is your lifeline to God. Begin each day by talking with Him — thank Him, confess your sins, and ask for His guidance. Scripture reminds us: “Pray without ceasing.” (1 Thessalonians 5:17)

2. Read the Word of God Daily

The Bible is your spiritual nourishment. Begin with the Book of John, which introduces you to who Jesus is and why He came. “Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation.” (1 Peter 2:2)

3. Stay Connected to the Church

You are not meant to walk this journey alone. The early believers devoted themselves to fellowship and teaching (Acts 2:42). We invite you to join Fresh Wind International in person at 10730 E Bethany Dr, Aurora, CO, or online through our services, Bible studies, and groups.

4. Live Out Your Faith

Jesus said, “Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16). Share your testimony, love others, and let your life reflect Christ.

Encouragement for the Journey

You will face challenges, but remember: baptism marks you as God’s own. When doubts or temptations come, stand on His promises:

  • “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” (2 Corinthians 5:17)

  • “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 1:6)

  • “Surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:20)
